By day it’s filled with light thanks to the large skylights and bi-fold doors, by night with lamps and candles lit – we (and the current owners!) think it becomes the ultimate entertaining space! And in the warmer months you can open the bi-fold doors creating that oh so desirable seamless flow from house to garden. Upstairs the generous proportions of this house continue. The Master Bedroom is a proper master bedroom with a dressing area with fitted wardrobes leading you through to the bedroom area where you can easily fit a super king size bed and still have plenty of room for a dressing table and chest of drawers. There are yet more fitted wardrobes in here and in summer you will be truly grateful for the built-in air conditioning unit which incidentally is WIFI enabled to allow control from a smart phone -so there’s no need to go upstairs to switch it on! The ensuite shower room is larger than you would expect and is fitted with a modern white suite and has plenty of built-in cupboards to hide away all your potions and lotions. The second bedroom is again a good size and also has an air conditioning unit, whilst the third bedroom (currently being used as a home office) will happily take a double bed and also enjoys air conditioning. Finally, the family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside and the front garden is a real showstopper! A large, decked area with a pergola is the perfect spot to enjoy the garden from dawn til’ dusk in the warmer months whilst the garden to the rear of the house is fully enclosed and mainly laid to lawn making it the ideal area for children’s swings, slides and sandpits. The house is accessed via a private gravel road leading to a double car port, garage and log store - so there’s ample parking and plenty of storage for bikes etc. A flagstone path then leads you into the front garden. Other things to note are that the property benefits from its own new water treatment plant which is 4 years old and has been recently serviced, and LPG Gas Central Heating. The Location: Cheriton is a hugely desirable and hugely popular village with families. There is everything you need on a day to day basis on your doorstep – a great pre-school; an outstanding primary school; a village shop for everyday essentials; a large recreation ground with playpark, cricket ground and tennis courts and most importantly of all a couple of very good pubs! Furthermore, with the village being situated within the South Downs National Park, there is a wealth of beautiful countryside to explore on foot or on two wheels. A 5-minute drive takes you into the market town of Alresford where you will find more essential amenities, a fabulous range of independent retailers, coffee shops, restaurants and public houses. And if a day on the fairway is your thing, then you will also find a gem of an 18-hole golf course here. Secondary schooling is available at Perins School for ages 11 to 16 years whilst sixth form education is available in Winchester at Peter Symonds College and in Alton. For those with younger children there is a choice of nursery and pre-school education.
